T&T. Stewed Pork Belly Review.

 

This is my first time having pork belly, I wanted to try it at a restaurant but there's not a single place near me that does it so I'd have to travel, for now I will have this frozen one. They do sell it raw and maybe one day I'll make it myself. I wanted to try it fried as I heard that's delicious but this is one stewed then steamed.

The pork belly when cooking had 9 different smells and they were all pretty bad 1/5. Most of the texture of the pork belly was rough like a squishy spongey goop 1.5/5. The taste was off and on, some bites were really good and tasted like ribs 4/5 but the other times the flavour was weird 2/5. It came with greens and those weren't great either 2.5/5. I had to soak my dishes in water w vinegar twice after a regular wash and they still held a little of the smell, not only on the dishes but wafting through the house. It was a rough experience but I would try it differently down the road.
