Crave. Szechuan Chicken Review.

 

I've done quite a few reviews from this blog (search them on my blog) and today I'm trying the Szechuan fried chicken.

This was so sad of a dish. The flavour of the sauce was pretty good, it had a little spice and the flavour of the chicken was fine but the chicken was soggy and this was one of the worst frozen fried rice I've had, it was very cheap and tasted weird, not like food. I would not buy it or eat it again and I rate it 2/5.

Dr. Oetker. Casa Di Mama. Hawaiian Pizza Review.

 

I've done many reviews from this brand (search them on my blog) and today I'm trying the Hawaiian pizza. This is the second Hawaiian of this brand but this is from another line.

The tomato cream sauce was interesting and I didn't love it on a pizza but as a pasta sauce it would've been nicer. The rest of the toppings were good and I did not mind the crust, I felt though it was a bit dry yet doughy. Overall a pretty good pizza but I don't think I'd buy it again but maybe I'd eat it if offered and I rate it 3.5/5.

Reign. Razzle Berry Energy Drink Review.

I've done quite a few reviews from this brand (search them on my blog) and today I'm trying the razzle berry.

It tastes like a mix of popsicle flavours, I was told it's blue raspberry, which I do get but I'm not big on the berry flavour but overall a pretty good drink. I don't think I'd buy it again but I'd maybe drink it if offered and I rate it 3.5/5.

Crave. Chicken and Ham Mac and Cheese Review.

 

I've done quite a few reviews from this brand (search them on my blog) and today I'm trying the chicken and ham mac and cheese.

The chicken was delicious, though the larger pieces were a tad dry but otherwise they were great, the best frozen meal chicken I've ever had. The sauce lacked flavour and was gritty from the cheese and the ham added nothing to this dish and I could've done without it. Overall pretty good I just wasn't wowed, other than the chicken but it did not save the rest of the dish. I would maybe buy it and eat it again and I rate it 3.5/5.

Crave. Korean Pork Mac and Cheese Review.

 

I've done quite a few reviews from this brand (search them on my blog) and today I'm trying the Korean pork mac and cheese.

I ordered this online and did not read the sauce is gochujang, which I don't like but I wouldn't back down from it now that I have it.

I was surprised, this is the only time so far that I've liked gochujang. This was lovely and had a nice spice to it, the spice level for me was almost perfect. I felt the cheese made the sauce a little gritty and the sauce was a bit more spice than flavour but still had a nice flavour. The meat though was just fine, it was similar to pulled pork, which I didn't love, I prefer chunks or pieces of meat over shredded. I would consider buying it and eating it again and I rate it 4/5.

Crave. Korean BBQ Beef Bolognese Review.

 

I've done quite a few reviews from this brand (search them on my blog) and today I'm trying the Korean BBQ beef bolognese. 

I felt the sauce was a bit too sweet, it made the meat more sweet than I found it already. I did enjoy the sauce with the noodles but not with the beef, texture was also an issue I had with the beef. This overall was not a good dish, without the meat though I would've liked it a lot. I would not buy it or eat it again and I rate it 2.5/5.

Bon Apatreat. Dulce De Leche, Cookie Monster Brookies and More Review.

I bought the cookie monster brookie, dulce de leche brookie, two chocolate cake pops and a vanilla cake pop.

The brookies were not nice texturally both at room temp and in the fridge. I'm sensitive to textures and I did not enjoy the brookies for mostly that reason.

The dulce de leche brookie flavour was delicious and the buttercream texture at room temp was lovely but the texture of the brookie at room temp was not nice, like a thin sponge meets mochi or almost jello-like 3/5.

The cookie monster brookie was just alright, it didn't have much of a flavour, it's just blue and I did not like texture as I mentioned. The buttercream when chilled was not nice to bite into and the brookie itself when chilled had the texture of crispy, gooey and damp cotton candy 2.5/5.

The vanilla cake pop had a pretty good cake but the coating was thick, waxy and did not taste good, it had a strange flavour, not that I could describe 2/5.

The first chocolate cake pop had a better cake but the coating again was thick, waxy and tasted not great either, almost with a hint of lemon 2.5/5.

The second chocolate cake pop had again a better cake but this coating was thinner and was a better texture but it tasted kind of like mocha which I was not a fan of 3/5.

Fish Hut. Shrimp and Chips Review.

I ordered the 5pc shrimp and chips with a side of gravy and coleslaw.

The shrimp were okay, nicely battered but I've learned I don't like the texture of jumbo shrimp and I felt this was the fishiest tasting shrimp I've had. I rate it 3/5.

The chips were sweet, too soft yet firm like a mochi meets tofu texture and were not nice to bite into 2/5.

I don't like seafood sauce or tartar sauce so I tried the shrimp with a side of plum sauce and with the gravy. Oddly enough the shrimp with the gravy 4/5 was better than I thought it would be but it was horrible with the plum sauce 0/5. The gravy itself was a pretty good, I just didn't love it but it did improve the shrimp and chips 4/5.

The coleslaw was delicious, it was so creamy, with a great quality mayo; it was fresh and probably the best coleslaw I've had in a long time 4.5/5.

Jelly Belly. Conversation Beans Review.

 

I've been eating Jelly Belly since I was a kid, they have a lot of delicious flavours. Today I am trying the conversation beans.

These are very boring compared to their much nicer jelly beans but they are not too bad in flavour and were not sour, just lackluster fruit flavours, like other brands of jelly beans. I would not buy them again but I'd maybe eat them if offered and I rate them 3/5.

Gardein. Chick'n Fried Rice Review.

 

I've done a few reviews of this brand (search them on my blog)and today I'm trying the chick'n fried rice.

It's the worst one I've had so far. The sauce was bad, the chicken was also bad and it all tasted like tofu meets soy meets dirty 20 year old converse stuffed in the back of the closet and are a bit damp. Only the rice and carrots were good, as the peas were not nicely textured and dry. I would not buy it or eat it again and I rate it 1.5/5.

Reign. Rainbow Sherbet. Energy Drink Review.

 

I've done a few reviews from this brand (search them on my blog) and today I'm trying the rainbow sherbet.

It's delicious, it's so candy and summery of a flavour and does taste just like rainbow sherbet. I would absolutely buy it and drink it again and I rate it 4.5/5.

Gardein. Meatball Marinara Review.

 

I've done two other reviews from this brand (search them on my blog) and today I'm trying the meatball marinara.

I love the sauce, veggies and pasta but I don't like the meatballs, they just taste like earth and soy, though their texture isn't as bad as their other vegan meats. I don't know if I'd buy it again but I'd eat it if offered and I rate it 4/5.

Gardein. Chick'n Mac and Cheeze Review.

I've done one other review from this brand (search it on my blog) and today I'm trying the chick'n mac and cheeze.

The mac and cheese tastes like watery powdered cheese meets cheap movie popcorn butter and the texture is too soft. The chicken is damp and spongey, I don't hate the taste but it's weird and not like anything I could describe flavour wise, unless you've had a not very good vegan meat. I think it looks better than it taste but I would not buy or eat this again and I rate it 2.5/5.

Crumbl. Smores, Chocolate Chunk and More Cookies Review.

 

This is my first Crumbl review, I ordered a 4 pack of cookies: chocolate chunk, strawberry cake, mint chip ice cream and smores.

The chocolate chunk cookie was dense and dry but also underdone, which I was told by others about their cookies. The cookie flavour was bad, quite strange tasting and the chocolate pieces were bad too. I rate it 1.5/5.

The strawberry cake cookie had an awful icing texture and the flavour was awful, yet a hint of strawberry that was delicious and the strawberries in the cookie was also lovely but the cookie was dense, dry and underdone, the sweetest one of the box. I rate it 2/5.

Mint Chip Ice Cream Cookie, had a good cookie flavour and  a better texture, I just wasn't wowed and the icing was pretty good but the texture was rough, not nice to bite into. I rate it 2.5/5.

Lastly the Smores cookie, it was not a bad cookie, I just wasn't wowed either. It was so dense and hard but also a little underdone, the chocolate drizzle and marshmallow top really helped, it was still not a good cookie but the best of the box. I rate it 3/5.

Overall I was disappointed. Thankfully they were not as sweet as others said but these don't taste good and are not for people who are particular about textures, like myself, these were some of the worst cookies I've ever had.

If I went again it would be to try their other desserts and their drinks but it was not easy to get to for me personally and thankfully I write reviews or this trip wouldn't have been worth doing.

President's Choice. Santa's Milk and Cookies Ice Cream Review.

 

I've done many reviews from this brand (search them on my blog) and today I'm trying the Santa's milk and cookies ice cream. People have been raving about it, so I thought I'd do a review.

I'm so disappointed, this is a bad ice cream. It does taste like milk and cookies but the milk is odd, I'm not sure what's wrong with it, as if the milk is a little bit sour or different fat content than milk I normally consume but nonetheless it ruins the whole ice cream but otherwise the chocolate and cookie bits were fine. I would not buy or eat this again and I rate it 2/5.

Krack O Pop. Salted Top Crackers Review.

 

I've done a few reviews from this brand (search them on my blog) and today I'm trying the salted tops crackers.

These are the worst crackers I've ever had, they taste bad and are sweet and buttery, like a tea biscuit, with an awful texture. These are so bad I had to toss them, I would absolutely not buy them or eat them again and I rate them 0/5.

Coco Frutti. Raisin Bread French Toast Review.

 

I've done one other review from this restaurant (search it on my blog) and today I'm trying the raisin bread French toast.

This was such a sad plate and I had to move around the toast, they plated it even worse than pictured. I apologize for not getting the full photo, not pictured is one slice of watermelon and one slice of grapefruit. It did not make for a nice Instagram photo, it was quite a sad looking plate. I'm not happy about the portion of fruit, especially because I can't have grapefruit for medical reasons, so my French toast only came with one slice of fruit I could eat.

The French toast itself was quite good but you must add syrup, as it is dry and the crusts are over-done. I don't think it was worth the price of $13. I would not buy this again but I'd eat it if offered and I rate it 4/5.

D Spot Dessert Cafe. Strawberry Banana Crepe and Smoothie Review.

 

This is my first review from this restaurant. I ordered the strawberry, banana and chocolate crepe and the strawberry banana smoothie.

The crepe, was quite nice but I just don't enjoy trying to eat a crepe but it was filling, well stuffed and large in portion. I would not likely buy it or eat it again and I rate it 4/5.

I did not like the smoothie, it was off in ripeness of fruit and overall did not taste pleasant, it was also small for the price I paid. I would not buy it or drink it again and I rate it 2/5.

I would order from here again but other items on their menu. They have some wild not desserts on their menu that I had my eye on.

Gardein. Be'f and Broccoli Review.

 

I've eaten a few of their products but had not yet posted any reviews, this is my first blog review of this brand. This is the be'f and broccoli.

The texture of be'f is awful, it's squishy, damp and spongey and it doesn't taste great but the rice, sauce and broccoli were pretty good. The be'f alone was a 1.5/5. I don't think I'd buy or eat it again and I rate it overall 2.5/5.

Alani Nu. Pumpkin Cream Energy Drink Review.

 

I've done a few reviews from this brand (search them on my blog) and today I'm trying the pumpkin cream. I wanted to post this on Halloween but I misplaced the photo but found it today.

This is delicious, I love the pumpkin flavour and the addition of the cream, its a lot like a creamsicle but I felt it could've tasted a bit more pumpkin. I might buy it again but I'd drink it if offered and I rate it 4/5.
