So I don't recall if I have ever been to Famous Wok before this. I saw they had pepper steak (which is close to the black pepper beef I love from Manchu Wok) and they had mushrooms and I loveee buttered mushrooms. I wasn't feeling how pale their rice looked nor the noodles but I'm like meh I'm gunna pick noodles, as I usually get Thai food and my stir fry always comes with rice, which kinda makes me sad XD unless I order Pad Thai or something else lol.
ANYWAY.
The noodles were bland and sad like I thought, I forgot to grab salt and I'm bummed they bagged my food and gave napkins but no fork and since I didn't realize, I grabbed one from another food joint. I should've salted that bitch up hahaha it needed it.
The mushrooms YESSSSSSSSS LOVED THEM! I loved everything about them, I mean they were a little hard to stab with the fork or pick up but YES YES YES! I loved them so.
The pepper steak was really good, not spicy even a little bit. I just don't like steak overall in the sense that it's usually really chewy and it was. I found the sauce was YES! I though felt they should cut the veggie pieces in half, they are huge and hard to eat.
Overall it wasn't too bad. I prefer Manchu Wok but they don't have one at the mall I was at lol. I rate the noodles 2.5/5, the mushrooms 4/5 and the pepper steak 3.5/5.
I just wish Chinese food places had thicker containers, the sauces always leak through the bottom.
