Pür & Simple. Crepe, Green Smoothie, Grilled Cheese Sandwich and Homefries Review.

 

This is my first time having food from this restaurant, I heard they are new and I was excited to try them out.

The crepe I got off the kids menu, making it half price compared to the adult menu crepe. This had strawberries, bananas and a nutella in a gluten free crepe, it was really nice, rich and fresh fruit, the crepe was a little tougher to chew but tasted good nonetheless, I would get it again and I rate it 4/5.

The green smoothie had strawberries, bananas, orange juice and kale in it and it was really nice, I mostly tasted the orange juice but it was good overall, I'd try it again but I also want to try their other smoothies and I rate it 4/5.

The grilled cheese was subtle, the type of cheese used isn't as nostalgic as orange cheese for a grilled cheese but it tasted good nonetheless, I'd eat it again but I don't know if I'd get it again, it was also on the kids menu coming with homefries and I rate the grilled cheese 3.5/5.

Lastly the home fries, they were amazing, these are so far my all time favourite homefries, they are so nicely seasoned and the texture is crispy outside and soft inside, I plan to get them again soon and I rate them 5/5.

Overall this is my new favourite breakfast place, despite being a little pricey.

Burger King. Dill Pickle Chicken Nuggets Review.

 

I have done a few Burger King reviews (search them on my blog) and today I'm trying the dill pickle chicken nuggets. I actually misread and thought they were just battered dill pickle not chicken but I bought them anyway for review.

These are worlds better than the all dressed but these were still bad, they were so powdery, greasy and gross and even burned my lips but they smelled nicer than they tasted just very strong. I think they should leave the nuggets alone and leave them plain. I rate them 2/5.

Flavour Crunch. Diced Pineapple Review.

 

I enjoy pineapple but I have never bought it in this form, so I wanted to try it for review.

These taste like caramel for some odd reason and not like pineapple but a hint of fruity with a weird texture. I would not get them again and I rate them 1.5/5.

Dr. Oetker. Yes It's Pizza. Spinach Crust Pizza Review.

 

I have done many pizzas from this brand (search them on my blog) and today I'm trying the spinach crust pizza, topped with mushrooms and broccoli.

This was really nice, as I'm already a lover of spinach and all the toppings, it just needed more toppings. I would get it again and I rate it 4.5/5.

Candy Bazaar. Sour Neon Gummi Worms Review.

 

I don't love gummy candy like I used to but I always have some in the house. I have done a review once before of this brand (search it on my blog) and today I'm doing the sour neon gummi worms.

These are very fruity and a bit sour but overall not too bad. I don't think I'd buy them again but I'd eath them if offered and I rate them 3.5/5.

Pita Factory. Chicken Gyro Poutine Review.

 

I have done so many poutine reviews and a few other reviews from this restaurant (search them on my blog) and today I am trying the chicken gyro poutine.

This was a good poutine as I have had before and I enjoyed the chicken gyro addition, I would order this again and I rate it 4/5.

Fruitropic. Freeze Dried Apple Slices Review.

I've done a review once before of this brand (search it on my blog) and this time I'm doing freeze dried apple slices.

The flavour is nice but the texture is god awful, it's so much like Styrofoam and makes my teeth so unhappy. I certainly wouldn't get them again or eat them again and I rate them 2/5.

Maynards. Swedish Fish Gummies Review.

 

This is my first or maybe second time trying Swedish fish, surprising huh? This is probably the only item from this brand I had not had before or remember having, all the others I've grown up with and enjoyed, well most of them.

The texture I'm not crazy about and it gets stuck in my teeth but the flavours are fruity and overall not bad. I'd eat them again if offered but I wouldn't buy them and I rate them 3/5.

Baskin Robbins. Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Polar Pizza Review.

 

This is a gorgeous ice cream pizza, I'm excited to have tried it for review.

It was DIVINE! The crust was my least favourite as it was cookie dough and the texture throws me off personally but flavourwise it was all delicious, the ice cream of course was my favourite part. I'd eat it again but I want to try out the cookies n cream at a later date and I rate this one 4/5.

Philthy Philly's. Peppercorn Steak Poutine and Bacon Cheeseburger Review.

 

I have done a review for this place once before (search it on my blog) and today I'm doing a bacon cheeseburger and peppercorn steak poutine.

The poutine was pretty good, there was kick to the steak and overall not a bad poutine, I think I prefer regular poutine but I rate this one 3.5/5.

The burger was pretty good in texture and taste it was juicy and I enjoyed the fresh toppings, I would consider getting it again and I rate it 3.5/5.

The Bingsu. Mango Bingsu and Strawberry Milk Tea Bubble Tea Review.

This is my first time having bingsu and we got the mango one. For those who don't know bingsu is a Korean dessert, very finely shaved milk or cream (snowflakes), condensed milk and ice cream, our was topped with mangos and almond slices.

This spooned like ice cream, not just the ice cream but the shaved ice itself, it was so rich and cold and tasty, it was a delicious dish. I'm glad I got the mango but I should've sized down to the regular as this was massive, you can't even tell by the photo haha. I would get it again and I rate it 5/5.

The strawberry milk bubble tea I got with pineapple jelly stars, it was so cute and it tasted good at first BUT they gave me a plant straw, yes a straw made of plants, it's my first time trying one of those AND the plant straw ruined the drink, it got worse and worse tasting just of plants to the point of inedible, I was so upset. The drink itself was 4/5 but the straw was a terrible idea, I wouldn't use it again.

Lilydale. Maple Turkey Sausage Review.

 

This is my first time eating a turkey sausage, I am nervous but I'm hopeful, how can you screw up meat? Right?

The texture when cooked is not toooo bad but when raw and during cooking the texture is GOD AWFUL (very squishy and easily broken) but the flavour was nice which caught me by surprise. I would eat them if offered but I would not buy them again but I rate them 3.5/5.

Fresh Thyme Farmers Market. Organic Unicorn Puffs Review.

 

I have done quite a few popcorn reviews (search them on my blog) and today I'm doing unicorn puffs.

These are not for me, they are odd tasting but fine in texture as other puffs and a bit too sweet for what I like in a salty snack but if you like this kinda thing, you'd probably enjoy them. I would not eat them again and I rate them 2.5/5.

Fresh Is Best Salsa & Co. Stoneground Corn Tortilla Chips Review.

 

Sorry I lost the close up photo of the chips but I wanted to do them for review, I thtink I got these at Dollar Tree but don't quote me on it.

These are not greasy at all which is great, unlike most other tortilla chips and these taste pretty good with and without salsa. I would get them again and I rate them 4/5.

President's Choice. Chicken and Vegetable Potstickers Review.

I'm always a sucker for dumplings (pot stickers) and I wanted to try these chicken and veggie ones for review, I have one other brand review done of pot stickers AND I have quite a few different reviews from this brand (search them on my blog).

These are pretty good, I liked the amount of filling and taste of them. I'd eat them again but I don't know if I'd buy them again because I get tired of these types of things, real quick but I rate them 3/5. 

Costco. Poutine Review.

I have had this poutine I THINK very many years ago, I didn't post it for review but here we are to do it today.

I don't really like the texture of their fries but overall the poutine is good, though they kinda skimp on gravy. I'd eat it again if offered but I wouldn't buy it and I rate it 3.5/5.

Sunset Grill. Strawberries and Cream French Toast Review.

 

I had heard good things about this place and I wanted to try their strawberries and cream French toast. I have some other french toast reviews (search them on my blog),so I wanted to try this one out for review, as you can tell strawberries are my topping of choice.

It was AWFUL, it was disgusting eggy mushy almost undercooked damp tasting bread, I had used to hate French toast and this made me remember the old days. I would never order this again and I rate it .5/5, it's .5 for the toppings.

The others that tried it said it was fine but for some reason I found it SO BAD, I had heard feedback online that it was likely due to the kind of packaging they use causing it to become humid in the box and continue cooking, I'm not sure.

President's Choice. Pad Thai Spring Rolls Review.

 

I'm a lover of spring rolls and pad Thai, so I wanted to try these out. I have done quite a few products from this brand (search them on my blog) and I'm always on the hunt for more.

These are pretty good compared to other spring rolls I've had, even from take out and they make me miss pad Thai. I'd get them again and I rate them 3.5/5.

Nana's. Chocolate Chip Cookies Review.

 

I've done quite a few cookie reviews (search them on my blog) and today I'm trying these gluten free chocolate chip cookies.

These are so dry like powdery almost and weirdly textured, they are flavoured okay but I can't get passed the texture and consistency. I wouldn't eat them again and I rate them 1/5.

Shawarma Star. Chicken Shawarma Poutine Review.

 

I am a lover of poutine and I wanted to try this chicken shawarma poutine for review.

The shawarma I was not a fan of, it was not dry persay but dry in flavour if that makes sense. It was weirdly spiced and a bit much of a dry but lemon flavour, I'm not sure but this is not for me, the poutine on it's own without the meat was delicious but not with the chicken on top.

Poutine on it's own a 4/5 but rating it as chicken shawarma poutine I rate it I guess a 3/5. I would order this poutine again but skip the meat.

The Sconery. Cinnamon Honey Scone Review.

 

I just did a review yesterday on this place, as well as previous reviews (search them on my blog) and today I'm doing the cinnamon honey scone.

It was so good, it wasn't as dry as most scones and the flavour was the perfect amount of sweet, it was my favourite scone so far, even more than I've had from Cobbs and that one was my now second favourite. I would get this one again and again and I rate it 4.5/5.

The Sconery. Cinnamon Bun Review.

 

I have done macron reviews from this place (search them on my blog) and this time I'm trying their cinnamon bun.

DELICIOUS! They are now my second favourite cinnamon buns, next to Cinnabon of course. They were sweet and tasty, the cream was good and the dough was also well done, there was nothing bad or overcooked or undercooked as I've had with other ones. I'm very happy with it and I'd get them again for sure, these will be my go to if not Cinnabon and I rate them 4/5.

Original Foods. MallowBats. Chocolate Marshmallow Bats Review.

 

This is my second and final Halloween review of 2021, I didn't get many snacks this year like I do in previous years or previous holidays, they didn't have much I wanted to try or new stuff for my to try.

These are chocolate covered marshmallow bats, well they don't look like bats they are just weird rock shaped blobs. These taste cheaper than they cost me, which was a few bucks. Nothing about these were that enjoyable. I found it was weirdly textured, too soft and no bite to them, they used really cheap chocolate and the flavour was odd. I would not get them again and I rate them 1.5/5.
