Pizza Hut. Chicken Bacon Alfredo and Pepperoni Melts with Cheesy Pull Aparts Review.

 

I've done a few reviews from this restaurant (search them on my blog) and today I'm trying their new melts. I've been eyeing these melts for a while now, I'm trying the chicken bacon alfredo and pepperoni melts.

The chicken one sucked. The chicken was bland, the crust is texturally not nice, the parm topping I wasn't keen on and the alfredo was very boring; only the bacon was good. This cost 11 bucks and it was not worth it. I would not buy this again but would eat it if I was really hungry and I rate it 2/5.

The pepperoni one was so different, it tasted nicer too. I wasn't that into it but the parm topping was pretty good, the crust was nicer in texture and the fillings were pretty good, though the pepperoni was my least favourite part. I wouldn't write home about it but it was alright, not worth the price. I would eat it again if offered but I wouldn't buy it again and I rate it 3/5. 

Lastly I grabbed some cheesy pull aparts, they were a bit skunky and not nice texturally.  I would eat them if I was really hungry but I would not buy them again (they were 10 bucks, which is insane) and I rate them 1.5/5.

Overall not a good lunch , I don't enjoy Pizza Hut anymore, I have to stop eating there. The food sucks, on top of their horrific prices, how did the pull aparts cost a dollar or two less than the Melt? .Insane.

Tim Hortons. Everything Savoury Twist Review.

 

I've done many reviews of this restaurant (search them on my blog) and today I'm trying the new savoury twist, in Everything flavour; they also have a four cheese but it was sold out.

Oddly enough this is my first time having something with Everything seasoning. I thought this was nice but a bit too crispy. Nothing much going on flavour wise but it was nice, I'd eat it again if offered but I don't think I'd buy it again and I rate it 3/5. I do want to try the four cheese one, so I will look out for it.

Little Caesars. Hawaiian Crazy Puffs Review.

 

I've reviewed the other two flavours (search them on my blog) and today I'm trying the Hawaiian puffs.

They are pretty good but nothing to write home about, I enjoy Hawaiian pizza so this was still nice. I think they are not as good as the other two, I don't know if I'd buy them again but I'd eat them if offered and I rate them 3.5/5.

Wendy's. French Toast Sticks, Bacon Wrap and Egg BLT Review.

 

I've done quite a few reviews from this restaurant (search them on my blog) and this is my second breakfast review.

Here are the French toast sticks, they were burnt around the edges and too doughy in the middle. Very boring, I wasn't a fan. I would not eat them again and I rate them 2/5.

This is the bacon breakfast wrap. I'm not happy there's potatoes in it as I'm not into the texture of potatoes in a tortilla. This was boring and needed more sauce, though the sauce was just okay. I wouldn't get this again and I rate it 2.5/5.

Lastly this is the egg BLT, I enjoyed the toppings but the croissant was AWFUL! This croissant is worse than store bought and ruined the whole sandwich. I would not eat this again and I rate it 1.5/5.

I wanted to note their croissants have changed since the last time I had one a year ago, this is what the other one looked like:

This croissant was great, it was buttery and tasty; overall a great croissant. I miss these ones, if I recall I rated it a 4/5.

Johnny Fresco. Cheeseburger, Cookie and Poutine Review.

 

This was my first and last review of this restaurant. I got a cheeseburger, poutine, a cookie and a can of ginger ale.

The burger I got was pretty good, I had no complaints with it and even with a single patty it was large and filling, I rate it 3.5/5. I got a chocolate chip cookie and it was warm and melty in the bag, really good but I felt it was a tiny overbaked and I rate it 4/5. The poutine was pretty bad, the bag was soaked and smelled, the cheese curds were a little skunky and the fries were dry and just okay but I did like the beef gravy, I don't recommend it. I didnt finish it (which says a lot) and I rate it 1.5/5. They are pricey, like a sit down restaurant or even Five Guys. Something today made me sick and I don't think I'd go again.

Pizza Pizza. Pepperoni, Four Meat and BBQ Chicken Stromboli Review.

 

I'm normally not one to purchase food (other than funnel cake sticks) from this place but I saw they are now doing Stromboli and I wanted to try them for review. I got 3 of the 4 flavours: pepperoni, four meat and bbq chicken (the other flavour was I believe Mediterranean pesto).

First I tried the pepperoni. This was not nice, I ran into the same issue that I have with panzerottis and calzones. I find when pepperoni is baked INTO something the texture and taste changes, it feels undercooked and soggy. I also found there was not enough sauce but the cheese, breading and seasonings were good. I would not eat this again and I rate it 2/5.

Then I tried the 3 meat, it has pepperoni, spicy sausage, ground beef and bacon. The pepperoni and sausage again gave that bad texture and undercooked feel and taste. The rest of the meats were good, along side the cheese and bread but again needed more sauce. I wouldn't eat this one again and I rate it 2.5/5.

Lastly I had the BBQ chicken. It has pickles on it which I was surprised to see but they were nice. I'm sad the onions were red as I prefer white onions but they weren't too bad for me. This one had even less sauce, maybe not any; I didn't taste any BBQ. This one was the nicest but I'm not in love with it. I would eat it again if offered but I would not buy it again and I rate it 3/5.

I think if they did a cheese only version, that would be my favourite haha. I am not thrilled with them and again I confirm I don't like these stuffed pizza type dishes and I don't want to eat them going forward.

7-11. Strawberry Melon Mtn Dew Slurpee Review.

 

I've done quite a few reviews from this store (search them on my blog) and today I'm trying the strawberry melon mtn dew slurpee.

It tasted a bit like blackcurrant halls soaked in water, not too good. I did not get any strawberry or melon flavours, though it did have that mtn dew kick. I would not get it again and I rate it 2/5. I think I'd like it more if it didn't taste so medicine-like.

Ruffles. KFC Chips Review.

 

Two stores I shopped at did not have them, I was though able to pick these up at a corner store. I saw someone try them, so I wanted to as well; before they are gone.

They taste like chicken seasoning but not quite KFC, not bad but just okay. Nothing to write home about and I don't think I'd buy them again but I'd eat them if offered and I rate them 3/5.

Burger King. Butter Chicken Sandwich Review.

 

I'm a big lover of butter chicken, so I wanted to try this for review. I typically don't eat their chicken sandwiches, as they make me sick but I got a taste of it just to try.

It was not a good sauce, it could've used more spice and lacked in amount of sauce but it was nothing to write home about it. I felt the sauce didn't go that well with a breaded chicken patty, as I've never had butter chicken with breaded chicken. The chicken itself I felt was well breaded and crunchy but it lacked flavour. It wasn't awful, I've had worse but I would not get it again and I rate it 2.5/5. I wanted to note this cost me almost 10 dollars, yikes.

Baskin Robbins. Strawberry Smoothie Review.

 

I've done a few reviews from this restaurant (search them on my blog) and today I'm doing a strawberry smoothie.

This smoothie was strawberries, bananas and frozen yogurt. It tastes almost like white grapes and plasticine. I was not a fan but it wasn't awful. I would not drink or buy it again and I rate it 2.5/5. I would like to note: it cost 9 dollars and it's the smaller size. 

Baskin Robbins. Cookie Monster Ice Cream Review.

 

I've done quite a few reviews from this restaurant (search them on my blog) and today I'm trying the Cookie Monster ice cream.

This is: Sweet Cream Ice Cream stuffed with Chocolate Sandwich Cookie Pieces, Chocolate Chip Cookie Pieces & Cookie Dough Batter flavoured Swirls.

The blue ice cream was a little boring but tasted fine, tasted like blue haha. The chocolate sandwich cookie pieces were the best part but I didn't love the chocolate chip cookie pieces personally. I don't actually know if I tasted the cookie dough batter swirls, or seen any. Overall not too bad of an ice cream but I don't know if I'd buy it again but I'd eat it again if offered and I rate it 3.5/5.
