Food 4 Shirts. Clothing and Website Review.

 

I was contacted on Instagram by a company called 'Food 4 Shirts' they were looking to do a collab. I checked out their site and they have a lot of really nice products and I read up that they were a sustainable brand that donates meals for charity, out of Denver Colorado, which made me really happy, so I was interested in doing work with them.

Here are the messages I sent back and forth with the company:

I went back onto their site and this is the shirt I picked out:

I placed my order March 24th 2021 and I ordered the women's medium in black, the currency is in USD (36 USD or 46 CAD) and while I find this expensive it makes sense for where it's coming from and for the sustainability and really I just wanted this shirt, I love love love food themed things, I'm a huge foodie even outside of my hobby of food reviewing.

I was thrilled that shipping was pretty cheap compared to what I thought it'd be (9 USD or 12 CAD) so after the discount and shipping my total came out to 35 USD or 46 CAD, without the coupon it would've been 47 USD or 60 CAD and I would not have made my purchase if I was spending 60 dollars, if I'm honest. The coupon is only for 11 USD or 14 CAD but it makes a difference to me in weather or not I would've went ahead with the collab or not.

After making my purchase I messaged Mia and gave her my order number, she stated in her message I would get a gift. If she receives my message before my order is sent out I should be getting a gift, I of course don't know what it is but I'm excited to see, if I don't get it it's fine as the shirt alone I think is great.

I checked their site to see their shipping times:

With shipping for Canada at 8-14 days and the item was shipped out March 30th 2021 (which surprised me but it could be due to many factors, so I am not upset), I should receive my package between approx. April 9th and April 19th.

These are the two emails I received after making my purchase:

I am not looking to spend anymore money so I will not be using the second coupon, even if it's only good for the next 60 minutes after purchase, I have already spent quite a bit of money and there wasn't really anything else I wanted on their site, as much as the item I just grabbed.

Today is April 28th and the package finally arrived, there was a delay but I am very happy my package arrived at all!

And here is the shirt I purchased, sadly the gift I was told I'd get never came, I guess they didn't see my message in time but I'm not at all complaining, I don't need the gift, I am happy as is:

The quality is amazing, the fabric is smooth and the shirt is rather snug, if it was any smaller it wouldn't fit, I should've sized up one but it's not a huge deal. I just recommend sizing up one for those who need room to wiggle in, as the neck was the snuggest part of the shirt. 

Note: the shirt smells like herbs, maybe rosemary.

My only complaint is the text is hard to read but that's just because I have breasts, not fault of the shirt and with a bra I'm sure it would become even more difficult to read, this often happens when I buy shirts with text that isn't dead centered.

Overall I am very happy with my purchase and I am glad they reached out to do a collab with me, I was nervous but it all followed through.

Hungry Man. XL Bowls. Spicy Chicken Queso Burrito Bowl Review.

 

I did another XL bowl from this brand (search it on my blog) and today I'm doing the spicy chicken queso burrito bowl.

This is a little too spicy for me (because I'm sensitive haha) but the flavour was pretty good. Would be great for others but I'm not getting it again and I rate it 3/5.

Reser's. Macaroni Salad Review.

                                  

This is a good macaroni salad, it's not too vinegary which I like. I didn't love it but I would eat it again, as most macaroni salads I don't like. I'd also buy it again and I rate it 3.5/5.

Monster Energy Punch. Mango Loco Energy Drink Review.

This has become so far my favourite Monster. I used to like the white tea but have since not liked it the more I drank it but the mango one I do like though it's slowly following the other one. I don't know if I'd get it again but I rate it 3.5/5.

Calpico. Strawberry Drink Review.

 

This drink was awful, it tasted like those rubbery strawberry gummies that I also hate. I wouldn't get it again and I rate it 0/5.

Crave. Bacon and Egg Scramble with Cheddar Cheese Review.

 

I'm back with another Crave review, I have done quite a few (search them on my blog). This time I'm doing a bacon and egg scramble with cheese.

This dish would be good in a wrap form, it lacks so much on its own. I know it's to be basic but there wasn't enough to it make it worth the price. So flavour-wise it really wasn't bad, I enjoyed it just needed veggies and a tortilla haha. I wouldn't get it again but I rate it 3.5/5.

Crave. Cheesy Loaded Potatoes with Angus Beef and Bacon Review.

I have done a few Crave items (search them on my blog) and today I'm trying out the Cheesy Loaded Potatoes.

This dish was hot, spicy and delicious, the smell was heavenly and I loved it but due to how spicy it was I'm not sure I'd get it again but I rate it a 4.5/5.

Chef Wang. Sweet and Sour Pork with Fried Rice Review.

This dish was disgusting, the pork was sweet like candy, the noodles weren't good and the rice was also sweet. Overall it was bad bad bad, I've never had a Chinese dish this bad before and I wouldn't get it again, I rate it 0/5.

Big Daddy. Chocolate Chunk Cookie Review.

I reviewed so far one other flavour of cookie from this brand (search it on my block) this time I'm doing a chocolate chunk cookie.

This cookie was oddly sweet like flowery, something was wrong with it and it's so far my least favourite cookie from this brand. I wouldn't get it again and I rate it 1/5.

Rocherblanc. Chocolate Covered Raisins Review.

 

These chocolate covered raisins weren't too bad but the raisin was my least fav part, though the chocolate was still pretty good. I wouldn't get them again, they were nothing to write home about and I rate them 3.5/5.

Tim Hortons. Strawberry Confetti Dream Donut Review.

I'm very late to review this donut, they no longer sell them but I found the review in my folder and I thought I'd post it anyway, sorry.

This donut is so good but I don't like the strawberry whipped cream, I'm not even a fan of whipped cream in the first place most of the time. This is of course very sweet and sugary, I would get it again if I could, I miss them already and I rate it 4.5/5.

Mystique. Mint Chocolate Bar Review.

This chocolate bar was just a strong toothpaste flavour and I normally like mint and chocolate together. It was bad but can't waste it though so I must eat it; luckily it was a dollar for two. I of course would never get it again and I rate it 0/5.

Wendy's. Strawberry Frosty Review.

This is a limited edition strawberry Frosty, they removed the vanilla one from their menu and I still enjoy the chocolate one, so I wanted to try out this one too.

It was not too bad but definitely fake flavoured. I had two if i'm honest haha, its like melted yogurt with a mild flavour, not like I had hoped; as I hoped for strawberry ice cream kind of flavour. I rate it 3.5/5 but isn't as good as the chocolate or vanilla Frosty's but chocolate reigns supreme I just find them very rich and take me a lot longer to eat.

Haribo. Yellow Bellies Minis Gummy Candy Review.

 

Haribo have been hit and misses for me, I have done quite a few reviews for this brand (search my blog) and this time I'm doing gummy yellow bellies but the mini ones.

I picked up this bag online from Candy Funhouse, I love their website. I didn't realize it was such a tiny bag but it makes sense cause full size bags are costly and this cost me about 2 or 3 bucks.

These lack distinct flavour, they are just fruity flavours and I can't put my finger on them. They are all pretty good but the yellow one, I usually don 't like yellow flabours unless it's pineapple. I'm not crazy about the texture of these gummies and the more I eat the more I dislike them. I don't know if I'd get these again and I rate them 3/5.

Old Dutch. Teriyaki Beef Jerky Review.

I had this brand of beef jerky before (search it on my blog) and I was put off by how greasy and damp the meat is but this flavour is a lot nicer than the other one. I though found it was a little rubbery, not easy to bite pieces off but fine to chew. I didn't want to buy the other one again but this one I think is worth it, despite the wetness, cause of flavour alone. I'd get it again and I rate it 4.5/5.

Fine Milk Chocolate Rabbit and Eggs Review.

 

This is the second last Easter review of 2021. This bag has no "real" brand it says imported from Germany but says it's Dollarama brand, I don't know if they have that store in Germany.

The egg shattered as I opened it which was fine. It tastes just okay, like all other Easter chocolate, the eggs and bunny are the exact same. They claim to be fine chocolate but the answer is no, not fine chocolate. I wouldn't get them again and I rate it 2.5/5.

I don't think I'll be grabbing any Easter themed chocolates going forward, they are all bleh, unless something catches my mind or good brands want to do Easter snacks.............or does it even matter? Stay tuned for the next and final Easter review.

Bon Bon Bunny. The Easter Express Train. Chocolate Egg Review.

 

More Easter snacks, just endless chocolate for yet another holiday haha. Today I'm doing chocolate eggs, I did a few reviews from this brand (search them on my blog), so we will see how this one goes.

These taste just okay, I don't think I have found a good tasting Easter chocolate yet, all these brands are similar or the same, nothing to write home about. I wouldn't get them again and I rate them 2.5/5. (I had to go back and re-rate the last chocolate bunny one I did because I realized 3/5 is too high hahaha.)

Bon Bon Bunny. Easter Jelly Beans Review.

 

I'm not big on jelly beans minus Jelly Belly those are great but I picked up some Easter jelly beans. I recently reviewed chocolate bunnies from this brand (search it on my blog) and I might have one more coming up of the same brand.

The yellow are very tart, I don't like lemon much in the first place. The blue is delicious and I think blue raspberry and the pink are also really good and I think they are some kind of berry flavour, I'm glad most of the pack I enjoy. I found they are a little gritty almost in texture. I don't know if I'd get them again just because jelly beans are not my go to sweet snack but I'd eat them if offered and I rate them 3.5/5.

Here's another review for my Easter candy series this year, this review is for little chocolate bunnies.

They come in different colours but they all taste the same. They taste just okay, not much like anything as you'd suspect knock off chocolate to taste like, I don't know if I'd grab them again but I rate them 2.5/5.
