Today I'm reviewing the Radley 10" Cordless Snow Thrower - Lithium Ion, 20V Max. This is an electric snow thrower/snow shovel. I got it as I want snow shoveling to be easier, especially being disabled, so regular shoveling is miserable.
I did not get video footage of it in action as this would not be easy for me to film and likely not safe to do, as well as it was very cold out today but I did get a few photos of the work I did.
This is awkward to use, the constant need to hold down the trigger tightly, as well as the starting and stopping I was having to do, by not holding it tight enough at all times and maneuvering around the driveway and it made my hand cramp up but otherwise this is really easy to use, even I did well learning it and using it and that's saying a lot.
This shovel is a lot easier and quicker to use than using a regular shovel of course but I only got this far due to physical ability and it took me 20 minutes. It was still a tedious task but it was a pretty fun task, more than the bending and lifting of a regular shovel. This shoveling was harder on my lungs, arms and back than my heart, which is my issue with regular shoveling but I would much prefer these problems than my heart being angry.
I believe this would be an ever greater shovel for someone able-bodied but still an amazing product, not having to do this task by hand, especially for me or someone like me. I will say this amount of snow I think is the best it can do, it struggled a bit through the snow, so any more than this and I'm not sure it would work as well. I believe you would need something bigger and more powerful for more snow than this.
Also I wanted to note, you can extend the arm but I kept it short for someone else and she's a bit shorter than I am.
I will have to do more of the driveway another day but for now this is it. I am thrilled with the product, for what it can do, yet it was still weird to use, I may get use to it the more I use it but overall I am happy with the product and I rate it a 4/5.
