Piper Arms. Bangers and Mash Review.

 

This is my first time at this pub, I ordered the bangers and mash.

I normally make my own bangers and mash but this was my first time ordering it. I'm disappointed, the onion gravy was thin and watery but tasted fine. The sausage had no flavour, it was just meat, with not a hint of seasoning, the most boring sausage I've ever eaten. The mash was pretty good but had no flavour, just potato but you can't really go wrong with mash (unless it's boxed). It came with a side of beans, they were fine too and had a nice tomato-y sauce and I liked the addition of onions. I found the dish was not worth the price but I was happy it came with 3 sausages, for a fair portion. 3/5.

I also tried the coleslaw, it was not the best I've had but was a little sweet as I like it and not vinegary, which is to my taste. 3/5.

Overall nothing I ordered I really enjoyed but I'd consider returning to try other items, preferably on the lunch menu.
