November 17th 2020, I was contacted on Instagram from a company called La Venne, a jewelry brand. They were looking to collab and I have so far done three successful collabs in my time (the fourth collab was a fail lol search my blog for babesentials) but I know doing these are a gamble, I am going to take the risk for a review and in case it does works out. Some reviews said they were scammed, some said they received their items, some said late and some said not at all.
This page followed me and liked over 10 to 20 of my Instagram posts then sent me a DM.
This is the series of messages they sent me:
*Note* I was told I'd have to pay shipping which was 24 USD, which I agreed to doing. converting to my currency of CAD it came out to almost 35, I'd never pay that much for shipping for anything but I had to do this review.
I went to their site and picked out 3 pieces from their ambassador collection:
I made my order and put in my coupon code, it did in fact take my total right off, making the items free, here is my breakdown:
Note: I was told it would take 2-4 weeks to receive my package. I was also sent a text message and email with confirmation of my order, that they would alert me when my package has been shipped.
Here I posted my Instagram story:
They then featured my story onto their Brand Manager account and Main account:
November 18th 2020 they sent me a text and email that give me tracking number and to say they have shipped my package:
It should arrive between December 8th and December 28th but their could be Covid delays.
After them shipping my package I got this message:
I followed their request and put my code in my bio. If you're reading this and are interested in my code you can use it on their site (LVNANIKKI60), thank you!:
Note: I tested out my code and they state a - before 60 but I just took it out and the code then works fine, if it doesn't work for you take the - out.
Most companies I work with do not require me to add it to my bio, they usually tell me to make an actual post and add my code info there, I would've preferred to do a post than to use my bio for it.
December 23rd the three pieces came, along with a $20 gift card and an ambassador business card. Here is what I got:
I tried on each of the pieces and I will break down my thoughts for each one:
I usually avoid gold I was always under the impression I didn't look good in gold, BOY WAS I WRONG! I put this piece on and I fell in love, I was so very happy. I haven't taken it off since putting it on, the quality is nice, shiny and lightweight on my neck. I rate it 5/5.
I struggled to get into this bracelet as my fingers are too big and my nails are too thin to properly open the clasp BUT I found out I could just slip it on, as my wrist is actually too small to properly wear this piece. This is gorgeous and dainty though and looks nice on my skin and again is really nice in quality, I rate it 4/5.
This last piece is dainty like the first but I got this piece in silver which also looks nice on my skin, it's really pretty and the style caught my eye on their site. This one feels a little cheaper in quality but of a good quality nonetheless, I really like this piece too and I rate it 4/5.
I posted these three photos to my IG profile and I shared it with the company, I get a chance to be published to either of their IG pages and I hope I get chosen but if I don't I still am so thrilled I got a chance to try out this company and I can put the gift card to use and buy something else.
My final thoughts: this has been a good experience overall but I think their products are a bit expensive and their shipping is insane for my country, unless you get discounts or use my code. I rate La Venne 4/5, I can't say less than that cause personally I'm just stingy with my money but I did put the gift card to use and grab a best friend a nice gift. They have really cute pieces and I'm happy with the steal of a deal they gave me with free products but from someone buying out of pocket it might not be worth it, depending on how much you want these items or where you're buying from and you could save on shipping. To be honest I'm not being paid to say anything and they dont even know I'm doing this review but I wouldn't pay 30-50 dollars on a single piece of jewelry but maybe because I rarely wear any and again I'm stingy. If any of them are worth even close to the price, it's the first piece, it makes me feel rich when I'm wearing it.
Note: the gold and marble piece is no longer on the ambassador page, its still on their site though if you search up the product name.
