Delcato. Japanese Style Cheesecake Review.

 

I'm no longer a fan of regular cheesecake but Japanese and Polish cheesecakes I love. I picked this up at the grocery store for about 8 bucks.

It's a pretty nice cheesecake, there was a hint of fruity but it might've just been me. It's certainly thawed but not in a bad way just wrinkly and soft, you have the option to warm it for a few seconds which might've been a better option. I wouldn't get it again but it was pretty good and I rate it 3.5/5.

Olivier's Candies. Cookies and Cream Fortune Cookie Review.

 

This is a white chocolate covered fortune cookie, with cookie bits on top. It tasted pretty good, had a good cookies n cream flavour, good cookie itself and had a nice fortune. I would get it again as it was only $1.25 at the dollar store, which surprised me and I rate it 4/5.

Amy's. Thai Pad Thai Review.

 

I have had some Amy's frozen foods before (search them on my blog) and I am aiming to try as many as I can but they are pricier than regular frozen meals so I don't often get them. Today I am trying out the Pad Thai.

This has so far been my favoruite Army's frozen dinner. I wasn't too crazy about the sauce but the more I ate the more I enjoyed. I surprisingly liked the tofu and I'm not usually a tofu person. I'd get it again and I rate it 3.5/5.

Leclerc. Choco Max. Strawberry Sundae Nougat Bar Review.

 

I have done a few items from this brand (search them on my blog) and this time I'm trying the choco max nougat bar in strawberry sundae.

These are AMAZING, it's a little too dark chocolate for me but the overall flavour is so good. I am a lover of strawberry and this was so nice, it was soft and nicely textured. I would buy many boxes again and I rate them 5/5.

Irresistibles. Vanilla Belgian Waffles Review.

 

I have done a few items so far from this brand (search them on my blog) and this time I'm doing the vanilla Belgian waffles. The photo on the box caught my eye, so I wanted to try these waffles, I enjoy vanilla flavour.

These are so dry, doughy and thick but flavour I enjoyed it's vanilla and nice. I promise I didn't eat them dry like the photo haha, I just took the photo like that for the review. I wouldn't get them again and I rate them 2.5/5.

Kitchen 88. Roasted Chicken Rice with Riceberry and Herbs Review.

 

I thought I've done reviews of this brand on my blog but I guess not, this is a common brand of rice packs I pick up at the dollar store, 1.25 a piece.

I'm not sure what riceberry is but sounds funky. This tastes very earthy and I don't really like it, it's not the worst rice I've had but it's not good to me. I wouldn't get it again and I rate it 2/5.

Hot Kid. Toddler Mum-Mum. Apple Rice Biscuits Review.

 

I have gotten rice crackers for school age children of this brand (search it on my blog) and this time we are doing the toddler rice biscuits for review.

I liked these better than the rice crackers, though these have a weird Styrofoam texture but are nice flavour-wise. I would consider getting them again as they were only 1.25 a box and I rate them 3.5/5.

Mark's Caribbean Kitchen. Beef Soup and Fried Plantains Review.

 

I enjoy Caribbean food, so I went to a place for beef soup and fried plantains. I have reviewed another place (search rainbow on my blog) so I was excited to try another one.

I liked this soup for the most part, it was very different from the other place's soup but it was good flavour wise when hot and the potatoes were huge, almost too hard to eat. This soup had different things in it, even dumplings. I'm just sad there was only 3-4 pieces of delicious beef in the whole soup. I would eat it again but I don't know if I'd buy it again, it cost 9 bucks and I rate it 3.5/5.

Lastly these fried plantains were pretty good, they were sweet but rich, I'd get them again but not often they are not something to eat on the regular I rate them 3.5/5. This was also 9 bucks.

I was worried these were small servings but I was wrong, they were so filling that I couldn't handle more haha. 

Irresistibles. Teriyaki Chicken Review.

 

I have so far done one review from this brand (search it on my blog) and this time I'm doing a frozen dinner, the teriyaki chicken. I have a few more coming up as well.

I did not like this dish this, the sauce was my least favourite part. I wouldn't get it again and I rate it 2/5.

Huer. Super Mix. Gummy Candy Review.

 

I usually like this brand, so I was excited to try this super mix of gummies. I have done quite a few from this brand (search it on my blog).

Not a single gummy looked like another, it truly was a mix. Every single gummy but 3 tasted like cola, some stronger than others but all cola flavoured. I like cola bottle gummies but this was not good to me, I needed more non cola ones, the ones that weren't tasted fruity and lovely but this was too much. I wouldn't get them again and I rate them 2.5/5.

Chatime. Peach Bubble Tea with Passion Fruit Jelly Drink Review.

 

They had a coupon buy two get the third one free. So I got myself a peach slushie bubble tea with passion fruit jelly and 50% sugar. It was so fresh tasting and it was really good with a great amount of sweetness. I haven't decided what kind of bubble tea I like most but the slushie was pretty good. I'd drink it again but I think next time I'd try something else but I rate it 4/5.

Booster Juice. Chicken Quesadilla Wrap Review.

This wrap contains: chicken, monterey jack cheese, salsa, mixed peppers and red onions in a whole wheat tortilla.

It was pretty good, tasted like something I'd throw together. I just don't like red onions, white ones would've been nicer. I'd get it again and I rate it 4/5.

This is a pretty good cereal, I just don't love the texture of the marshmallows but that's also any cereal marshmallows. It's best with milk of course, I'd eat it again but I don't know about buying it and I rate it 3/5.

Thriftbooks. Online Thrift Library Review.

 

I saw a Tumblr post about this website Thriftbooks and how amazing their deals on thrifted books are, they also have movies and video games I think but I was so interested in the books.

I am working through a list of Irvine Welsh books, trying to read as many as I can, so I used this site to find the ones I cannot get at any three libraries I could go to. They had a fair selection, two pages of Irvine Welsh books and these are the three I picked:

These prices are in USD. 

So each book has multiple options depending on condition and type of book, each with differing prices. I'm not picky on book condition and I thought I had selected the cheapest option for each book but now looking at the second book I did not but the price was only different by 70 cents or 88 cents CAD.

This is my cart:

When you make an account they send you a 15% off code, mine was only worth 60 cents USD or 75 cents CAD but that's fine.

I selected the Canada standard shipping (the first time I checked out this site before making a purchase the shipping was 16 USD or 20 CAD but it was suddenly 10.29 USD or 12.92 CAD yay! So my total came to 21.22 USD or 26.63 CAD. (The estimated total was my final total, I was not charged any sales tax.)

Above the cart there's a Covid warning:

I placed my order April 11th 2021 and they were shipped out April 13th 2021. I received an email that I would receive my package on or around May 10th 2021.

Today is now April 21st and one book arrived:

The book is in a great quality and I cannot believe it was worth almost 22 CAD and I got it for 4, what a steal.

Today is now April 22nd and a second book has arrived:

This one I bought at acceptable quality and it was indeed acceptable, it's bent quite a bit on the front (looks better on camera than in person) but not a huge deal. This book was worth 14 (potentially USD I'm not sure) but I still got it at a steal of a price at 4 bucks.

Today is now April 4th and the final book has arrived:

I may or may not have cut the book when opening it, I'm not sure. There was also no price tag on the book to compare but after doing research this book is being sold for approx. 14 CAD, which again is a steal at the price I paid.

Overall, this has been one of the greatest shopping finds, this website is EVERYTHING! I think it would be a great place to get books secondhand with a good selection but nothing beats a yard sale but this site lets you search their catalog so it's a plus. I rate this website and experience a 5/5.

Haribo. Little Jelly Men Review.

 

I have done quite a few Haribo reviews (search them on my blog) and this time I'm doing little jelly men.

I hated their texture and the flavours were not good but maybe the pink one. I would not get them again and I rate them 1/5.
