Dial A Dinner. Christmas Dinner Review.

I have ordered from this business once before (search it on my blog) and this time I'm ordering a Christmas dinner for 4. Here is the breakdown of your choice of items and other items included, it's a lot of food and I am impressed with the price. I will also show you my choices.

I will say I really wanted to add on 2 more servings of gravy but it was not in my budget, which is fine I will just make my own gravy. I also really hoped for corn as a side option but that's alright too, I can again make my own. My family and I have conflicting food likes, so we had to order two of the carrots, as some don't like green beans and some don't like broccoli and cauliflower, luckily there's one we can agree on.

Here is a breakdown of my order.

I placed the order today November 28th 2025 and the delivery is for December 24th 2025.

The stuffing was not good flavourwise and the texture was bad, it was dry but soggy and lumpy 1.5/5.

The carrots smelled off-putting, I didnt like the herb used on them but texturally they were fine, they are honey and pretty nice 3.5/5.

The turkey was dry, even the dark meat but the white was like shoe leather almost, I've had worse 3/5.

The mashed was delicious, I've had it before, it's creamy, garlicky and buttery but a little lumpy 4.5/5.

The rolls were good but a bit too dense and thick and sweet 3.5/5.

The gravy was really bad, it just tasted like sweet turkey bone gelatinous goo with no seasoning or flavour and the smell was gross to me but helped moisten the turkey 1/5.

The cranberry sauce is nice until you get chunks then its so dry in taste and tart, I don't love cranberry but it came with the meal so I thought I'd try it 2.5/5.

Lastly the pie, it was delicious for a pumpkin pie, I dont like pumpkin pie mostly for texture reasons but this is less mushy than any other pumpkin pie I've had, making it the best pumpkin pie I've had 4/5.

Franklin Pizzeria. Pizza, Chicken and Garlic Bread Review.

Today I tried this restaurant out for the first time, for Christmas Eve. I got two medium pizzas, 1lb of boneless chicken and cheesy garlic bread.

The cheese pizza was pretty good, too light on the sauce though and the sauce is too sweet, I rate it 3.5/5. The other half had pepperoni and ground beef but I was not eating at portion personally, so I did not review their ground beef.

The pepperoni pizza was weird texturally, due to the grease of the pepperoni meeting the grease of the cheese and these greasy flavours made the sauce taste off. The pepperoni itself was nice but the best part of the pizza is where the cheese and crust were burnt. This particular pizza is awful cold (even just sitting 15 minutes), I rate it 2.5/5.

The chicken was really nice, we got mild sauce and it was a little sweet like honey and sticky, it was a nice sauce. The chicken was good quality and had a nice texture, the breading was a little too dense and thick but was good, I rate it 4/5. I wanted bone-in wings but someone else wanted boneless, so we went boneless, I would have much more preferred bone-in.

Lastly the garlic bread was a bit stale, it barely tasted like garlic but the cheese was lovely, I rate it 3/5.

Overall an alright pizza place, I did not enjoy their food enough to order again.

Arizona. Whipped Pineapple Orange Review.

I've not done any reviews from this brand yet on my blog but I'm certain to have some still to post. Today I'm trying the whipped pineapple orange.

This was whipped and creamy, the pineapple was pretty good but I felt the orange was not a great choice, I would've preferred maybe mango or coconut. I would not buy it again but I'd maybe drink it if offered and I rate it 3/5.

Meals Delight. Butter Chicken Sauce Review.

This is my first time trying this brand but I've done many butter chicken reviews (search them on my blog).

This was the worst butter chicken sauce I've ever had, it would've been great if it didn't have a slight rubbing alcohol flavour and a hint of floral soap. I still ate it but I would not buy it or eat it again and I rate it 1.5/5.

Great Value. Nutri-Bowl. Mexican Pulled Pork Review.

I've done quite a few reviews from this brand (search it on my blog) and today I'm trying the Mexican pulled pork bowl.

It's a burrito bowl and not a bad one, I felt it was a bit boring and really could've used some corn but it was still pretty solid and had a bit of a spice to it that I liked. I will say quinoa is not great texture or flavour-wise and it may have been my least favourite part of the dish. The pulled pork was fine, I felt it had a bit of a flossy texture and a bit tough and dry but not bad for a frozen pulled pork. I don't know if I'd buy it again but I'd eat it if offered and I rate it 3/5.

Great Value. Nutri-Bowl. Butter Chicken Review.

I've done quite a few reviews from this brand (search them on my blog) and today I'm trying the butter chicken nutri-bowl.

This is the furthest from butter chicken I've ever had, which I understand as it's a nutri-bowl, I'm just not used to these things in butter chicken but it was pretty good. This bowl has quinoa and lentils, among other things. Despite it being weird for a butter chicken and it didn't taste anything like butter butter, I did not think it was bad, I think the chicken was the best part and it had a bit of spice that I liked. I may buy it and eat it again and I rate it 3.5/5.

Bassili's Best. Spaghetti and Lasagna Review.

I discovered these scrolling Walmart's app as I ordered groceries. I have never had this brand, so I wanted to try it for review. I got the spaghetti Bolognese and the lasagna.

The sauce of each one is pasty, it's thick, pasty and a bit grainy; flavour-wise it's not great either, it's boring but I felt the spaghetti was better. The ends of the lasagna were so dry, hard and inedible (I did not eat them, I had to saw the ends off with a knife), this is probably the worst frozen lasagna I've had. I would not likely buy either of these again but I'd more likely eat the spaghetti again if offered and I rate the spaghetti 3/5 and the lasagna 2.5/5. If this is Bassili's BEST, this is sad.

Palgong Tea. Mango Smoothie Review.

I've done one other review from this restaurant (search it on my blog) and I'm now trying the mango smoothie.

The mango smoothie was really nice, had a good mango flavour and was creamy. The tapioca was nice in texture too, though I do not actually like tapioca but the drink was for someone else. I would buy it again without the tapioca and I rate it 4/5.

Palgong Tea. Strawberry Cheesecake Milk Tea Review.

I felt this was the second best milk tea I've had but I kind of didn't liked it personally, it was just fine actually but it tasted mostly like leaves and the strawberry was odd in flavour. I would not buy it or drink it again and I rate it 3/5.

I fell in love with how the drink looked on their menu, though I didn't think to read that it was a milk tea, I never like milk tea. I plan to order from them again and try a slush.

Dairy Queen. Chicken Bacon BBQ Melt Review.

I've done many reviews from this restaurant (search them on my blog) and today I'm trying the chicken bacon BBQ melt.

It's not too bad but it was not for me personally, I'm not crazy about BBQ and felt this was overall boring, like something from a gas station. I would not buy it again but I'd consider eating it again if offered and I rate it 3/5.

Merach. Walking Pad Review.

(Sorry for the poor quality and lit video, this is what I filmed.)

I needed a walking pad for those harsh Canadian winters when I don't want to go out for my daily walk, so I bought this on sale last month and thought I'd do a review. I got this over a treadmill due to space in my home, it's not easier to move and set up and the cheaper price, this is also good for people who have standing desks.

Since it's not a treadmill I had nothing to hold onto so this took a little learning but it was a lot easier to use than I thought. I will say I wish it started a tad slower for those first starting, otherwise this works great and I've been using it for a couple weeks now and I am happy with it.

Since this is a walking pad, it's different to regular walking, this puts your legs and glutes really into it but I am not yet at the stage where I walk a bit smoother and more natural, I am still awkward as I walk.

Overall this is a great purchase and I will continue to use it, I rate it 4.5/5.

Radley. Cordless Snow Thrower Review.

Today I'm reviewing the Radley 10" Cordless Snow Thrower - Lithium Ion, 20V Max. This is an electric snow thrower/snow shovel. I got it as I want snow shoveling to be easier, especially being disabled, so regular shoveling is miserable.

I did not get video footage of it in action as this would not be easy for me to film and likely not safe to do, as well as it was very cold out today but I did get a few photos of the work I did.

This is awkward to use, the constant need to hold down the trigger tightly, as well as the starting and stopping I was having to do, by not holding it tight enough at all times and maneuvering around the driveway and it made my hand cramp up but otherwise this is really easy to use, even I did well learning it and using it and that's saying a lot.

This shovel is a lot easier and quicker to use than using a regular shovel of course but I only got this far due to physical ability and it took me 20 minutes. It was still a tedious task but it was a pretty fun task, more than the bending and lifting of a regular shovel. This shoveling was harder on my lungs, arms and back than my heart, which is my issue with regular shoveling but I would much prefer these problems than my heart being angry.

I believe this would be an ever greater shovel for someone able-bodied but still an amazing product, not having to do this task by hand, especially for me or someone like me. I will say this amount of snow I think is the best it can do, it struggled a bit through the snow, so any more than this and I'm not sure it would work as well. I believe you would need something bigger and more powerful for more snow than this.

Also I wanted to note, you can extend the arm but I kept it short for someone else and she's a bit shorter than I am.

I will have to do more of the driveway another day but for now this is it. I am thrilled with the product, for what it can do, yet it was still weird to use, I may get use to it the more I use it but overall I am happy with the product and I rate it a 4/5.

Dr Oetker. Ristorante. 4 Cheese Pizza Review.

I've done many reviews from this brand (search them on my blog) and today I'm trying the 4 cheese.

This is the most boring pizza of this brand, the cheeses barely taste like anything, very little sauce and the crust is boring and crunchy. It's not even school pizza or gas station pizza, it's worse. I would not buy this or eat this again and I rate it a 3/5 but its barely a 3.

Crave. Jerk Chicken Pineapple Rice Review.

I've done many reviews from this brand (search them on my blog) and today I'm trying the jerk chicken with pineapple rice.

The jerk chicken was good and spicy but the jerk flavour didn't taste good with the rice and vegetables, which I didn't really like anyway but the pineapple was a great addition. The chicken and pineapple alone couldn't carry this dish, this was not a good dish overall. I would not buy it or eat it again and I rate it 2.5/5

Tim Hortons. Chocolate Hazelnut Muffin Review.

I've done many reviews from this restaurant (search them on my blog) and today I'm trying the new chocolate hazelnut muffin.

It doesn't taste good, it's like a grocery store marble cake and I hate those, the hazelnut filling was the only good part, that was really good and I liked it was only a small portion, I hate too much chocolate stuffed into things, it's texturally off-putting to me. I would not buy this or eat this again and I rate it 2.5/5, for just the hazelnut filling alone.

Chapman's. Winter Cocoa Ice Cream Cone Review.

I've done two other reviews from this brand (search them on my blog) and today I'm trying the winter cocoa ice cream cone.

I've had a few other cones of theirs (just not on my blog) and they are so boring and lack flavour. This one also is boring and lacks flavour. It's a bit of cococa and it's not bad but it has very little flavour and the vanilla is even more boring, I've always found their vanilla boring. The best part of was the cone, it had the most flavour but it was dry and I didn't love the texture when soggy, it was tough and hard to eat. I would not buy these or likely eat them again and I rate them 3/5.

Update: I just had one using a spoon (weird I know) and it completely changed how I felt about this ice cream. I couldn't get flavour much from licking the ice cream prior and I don't like to bite ice cream but there was something about it on the spoon, that made it taste really good. The cocoa flavour came through and the vanilla was even a  bit less boring. Since I used a spoon, the cone didn't get tough and soggy, making that experience better too. Earlier I had said the cone was better but this time I feel the opposite. I now rate it a 4/5. I feel they should do a tub of this flavour, if they don't already. I also wanted to note, there is chocolate in the bottom of the cone and it's great.
