My Burger. Burger and Fries Review.

 

This is my first time trying this local burger joint and I'm excited to post it for review.

I ordered a burger combo, it's a burger with fries and a pop, I also ordered a gravy on the side. The combo was 9 dollars which is a good price for the serving size and all included.

The owner was so friendly and cooked from the heart, it shows in how everything was made and in the deliciousness of the food.

The burger was really nice, one of the nicest burgers I've had. The meat was perfectly cooked and the toppings were crisp and crunchy. He added one sauce to the top and one to the bottom, which was a first and I was impressed; leaving no bite sauceless or dry. I'd get it again for sure and I rate it 4/5.

The fries were also really nice, like a combo of a pub fry and a fair fry. The addition of the gorgeous gravy and I was happy! I'd get each one again, I rate the fries 4.5/5 and the gravy 4/5.

Dr. Oetker. Casa Di Mama. Classic Canadian Pizza Review.

 

I'm on the hunt to try all the pizzas from this brand, I've done quite a few thus far (search them on my blog) and today I'm trying the classic Canadian.

I dont know why this pizza turned out so bad. It was the saddest pizza I've yet tried from this brand. It tasted bad and the texture was sad, I didn't do anything different compared to the other ones, this just was a miss for sure. I wouldn't get it again and I rate it 2.5/5.

Roosters. Fried Chicken, Biscuit, Fries and Apple Pie Review.

 

This is my first time going to Roosters. I ordered a two piece chicken combo and apple pie. The combo was a two piece chicken with fries, biscuit and ranch, I ordered a side of gravy.

The chicken was rather nice but the skin I wasn't too big a fan of, the meat itself was tasty! I'd consider getting it again but next time I wanna try the chicken tenders. I rate the chicken a 3.5/5.

The fries were a tad sweet but overall nice fries, these would be good for poutine. I rate them 3.5/5.

This biscuit was delicious, fluffy and cheesy and I really enjoyed it. I think this has been so far my favourite biscuit, as I'm not normally a biscuit person. I thought it was a tad too doughy but I feel that way about most biscuits. I'd get them again for sure and I rate the biscuit a 4/5.

This was a really nice beef gravy, a bit thin but overall was good! I'd say it's a bit better than most fast food gravies. I'd get it again for sure and I rate it 4/5.

This was a good quality ranch, it tasted like a typical restaurant ranch and I always find those nicer than bottled ones. I'm not really a ranch person but it comes with each meal so nothing to complain about. I rate it 4/5.

Lastly this wasn't too bad of an apple pie. I am not normally a pie person but I wanted to try it for review. The crust was seemingly underdone and lacked flavour but the filling was yummy. I don't think I'd order it again and I rate it 3/5.

Chungchun Rice Dog. Pineapple Ade Drink Review.

 

This is a drink review but I've done a food review from this restaurant (search it on my blog) and today I'm doing the pineapple ade.

I think it's just pineapple juice on the rocks but its yummy and refreshing, overall a pretty solid drink. I think it's a bit watery tasting and I don't know if I'd get it again but I'd consider it and I rate it 3/5.

Farm Boy. Baby Back Ribs and Honey BBQ Chicken Review.

 

I've done quite a few reviews from this place (search them on my blog) and today I'm doing the baby back ribs and honey BBQ chicken. 

The ribs were very lacking of meat and the sauce was a pasta sauce taste and texture, not too bad but nothing to write home about, I don't think I'd get them again and I rate it 3.5/5.

The honey BBQ chicken was phenomenal! The chicken was really good but the sauce was the star of the show, this is probably one of the greatest BBQ sauces I've ever had. I'd order this again and again and I rate it 5/5. 

This plate was 14 bucks which is a bit pricey but I'm not surprised for Farm Boy, I think the chicken was well worth it but I do wish I had gotten a few more pieces haha!

Cobbs Bread. Chive and Garlic Twist Review.

 

I've done a few reviews from this shop (search it on my blog) and today I'm trying the chive and garlic twist.

It was a pretty good flavour, it was addictive to me but I thought it was a bit too doughy like it was underdone. I don't think I'd buy it again but I'd eat if offered and I rate it 3/5.

California Thai. Mango Chicken, Pad Thai and Broccoli Review.

 

This is my first time having a meal from this restaurant. I ordered the mango chicken, pad Thai and broccoli. 

The pad Thai was probably one of the worst ones I've had BUT it wasn't awful. The texture was a bit odd and the flavour was lacking but I rate it 3/5. 

The mango chicken was really good, nice quality chicken with a good mango sauce and I'd get it again, I rate it 4/5.

Lastly the broccoli was really nice and buttery, with good texture. I don't normally love broccoli from fast food restaurants but I'd get it again and I rate it 4/5.
