Breakfast Blues & BBQ's Review.

So I went for a birthday lunch to this restaurant. I admit I didn't look much over their menu but I decided on the meatloaf before I went.

This meatloaf is a pork and beef blend but I personally prefer just beef. This plate came with a side and I chose mashed and coleslaw, also I added a side of gravy (can't forget the gravy).

The meatloaf was alright, it was real soft and I didn't need more than just my fork to eat it. I could really tell the contrast between the pork and beef, I wasn't crazy about it, the texture of the meatloaf as well I wasn't too crazy about personally, I'm kinda weird about textures haha. I didn't hate it but I wouldn't order it again. I rate it 3/5.

The mashed was very plain but tasted pretty good for an unseasoned mashed, that I just smothered in gravy. Without the gravy I rate it 3/5.

The gravy was rather good and I'm a sucker for gravy, it's probably my favourite sauce (next to sweet Thai chili lol) and It was great on both the mashed and the meatloaf, it really helped the dishes along. I rate the gravy 4/5.

The coleslaw I leave for last, people feel so divided by coleslaw and most people I know hate it. I don't mind coleslaw personally, so I just ate mine instead of wasting it. I find coleslaw doesn't smell great but it tasted alright, not my favourite coleslaw to be honest, the more I ate it the more tired of it I became lol. I rate it 2.5/5.

This was a cute little place to eat, the server was lovely and it was overall a good time. I would go back, as I was eyeing the banana bread french toast haha.

Delcato. Vegetarian Falafel Review.

So I've never had falafel before, it always sounded so good to me and I decided to try this out. I don't actually know what non vegetarian falafel is, I thought all falafel was vegetarian but if anybody could let me know that would be great thanks!

This falafel came with a tahini sauce, which I had never had before either.

The sauce was not good, I disliked it and it tasted like celery water to me, I rate it 0/5.

The falafel was really dry and despite how good it smelled prior and after cooking, it was rather tasteless for something I thought would have spices in it or more spices. I did try it plain and also with BBQ sauce cause it was THAT dry and I hated the tahini too much to eat it with it, I also didn't have any other sauces or hummus I was reading I could've paired with the falafel. Well the BBQ sauce just helped it go down easier and wasn't too bad a combo, though I'm sure someone out there will say BBQ sauce is blasphemous haha, sorry.  I would not buy this again, it was a struggle to eat and I still have half the box left to snack on. I rate it 1/5.

Phoenix Cuisine. Sweet and Sour Pork, Vegetable Fried Rice & Chicken Wonton Soup Review.

So I'm always up for finding a new Chinese place, most of the ones I've eaten weren't that great or did something to screw up me wanting to get from them again, so I was on the hunt for another place to order from.

So I found this place Phoenix cuisine and decided to try out the sweet and sour pork, vegetable fried rice and chicken wonton soup.

The rice was the best I've had thus far compared to other restaurants I've had. I found it lacked a little something but they didn't sell sweet and sour sauce on the side but overall I was happy with this rice and I rate it 4.5/5.

The sweet and sour pork was the best I've had too, I'm not even kidding it was nicely sauced and it was still crispy which I loved! OH AND THE BEST PART It was more meat than veggies which I have never seen a Chinese place do, usually it's 80% veggies but this time it was mostly meat, so so so so happy about that! I would order it again and again for sure! I rate it 5/5.

The chicken wonton soup was a good serving size for 4 bucks and it tasted pretty good, I find the one at King's Buffet is better but this is easily my second favourite, the broth doesn't smell the greatest but flavour wise it was all good! I would consider getting it again if I was craving wonton soup, I rate it 4/5.

Tim Hortons. Chicken Sandwich Review.

I saw a few signs for this new chicken sandwich for 1.99 which is a really good price for a sandwich but it also makes me nervous how good of a sandwich it would be.

It honestly tasted better than I thought it would but dry needed more mayo and would've been good with tomato and maybe even some bacon on it. But for the sandwich as it was it wasn't that bad and for that price is was great, I don't mind a quick and cheap bite. I would get it again if it was something I was craving but I'm never crazy about breaded chicken sandwiches lol. I rate it 3.5/5.

Nugateau. Rosabelle Eclair Review.

There is a new eclair shop at the mall where I was visiting and I normally don't eat eclair's if I have ever had one, I don't even recall haha but this place was recommended by my good friend and we went in.

We wracked our brain over which one to share, we decided on the Rosabelle eclair.

Each item on this eclair was edible even the rose, which I ate hahaha. Sadly this 7 dollar eclair was AWFUL, the flower itself was better. It had a gross jelly filling, this was like a very perfumy bite that tasted so bad. Like flowers and soap, the aftertaste was bad too. I didn't know what to expect but this was so sad, not worth it at all. I rate it 0/5. I don't know if I'd go back to try the other flavours as they are each 7 bucks but they did have other items I'd try besides eclairs, I don't know when I'm going next into the city I was in but we will see in the future.

Tim Hortons. French Toast Breakfast Sandwich Review.

So I will say right away that this sandwich was BURNT, I'm pretty sure it's not meant to be burnt but it was, oh boy was it ever.

So I will try to review this besides the fact that it's burnt, I would only include that in my rating if they were meant to be burnt because I know not every time I'd ordered this it would be.

So this is a french toast breakfast sandwich. It is the fixins of a regular breakfast sandwich between two french toast, instead of a biscuit or English muffins like it's usually on. You can order the sausage or bacon, since I didn't actually order this myself I didn't get to pick the bacon like I wanted and ended up with sausage.

I will tell you now, it's an odd combo of sweet and salty but not in a good way. I have never been crazy about their sausage and I'm still not with this sandwich. The french toast could be good, on it's own but in this sandwich it wasn't good, there was and odd amount of sweet that clashed with the salty and there was more salty than anything. I would not eat this again, even with the bacon instead of sausage. I rate this 2/5, I was going to say 0/5 but I did still like the egg and cheese, they are always good parts of a breakfast sandwich.

Triscuit Thin Crisps. Parmesan Garlic Cracker Review.

So I enjoy a good Triscuit cracker, my favourite was the applewood smoked but sadly they no longer sell them. I love the texture of these crackers over regular crackers. I had never tried the thin crisps, or that I recall so I decided to get a box.

This is the parmesan garlic ones, I normally love this flavour but sadly this cracker was AWFUL. I tried it with and without spinach dip, as I like dips with my crackers some times but I guess we will leave the spinach dip for other crackers, chips and breads.

Anyway, as I was saying this cracker was AWFUL, the flavour and smell of the parmesan was so gross, it was almost skunky, I'm not sure. I couldn't even finish them, that's how bad it was and I don't often waste but luckily they went to someone else and I didn't have to toss em. I would certainly never get them again, I rate them .5/5, I would've said 0 but the texture of the cracker is still pleasant and I'm not completely turned off from Triscuit crackers :D.
